About rewriting history

When I visited IRCICA in Istanbul last year, a center affiliated to the Organization of Islamic Conference, I was impressed by the size and importance of do*****ents related to Jerusalem in the Ottoman period preserved there, and also by the high quality researches, studies and books published.

I believe that the world will soon face the moment of truth in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Israel wants to drag the world into a devastating war in order to destroy Iran's growing power, which now poses a future threat to the Jewish state, and also to knock down Arab resistance, it hopes, in a one last round.

The Arab nation's only hope of regaining its global presence and its decision-making independence is to hold on to its genuine Arab character and resurrect its cultural heritage.

During his election campaign, President Obama raised the slogan of "change"and made it the shiny heading of his presidency.

In his victory speech, president-elect Obama said to the American people: "The change is coming America", and the whole world regarded his words as portending good.

 Israel's existential crisis

It is clear now that Israel is facing a major existential crisis. The Jewish state has managed to block every road that would enable it to live peacefully and harmoniously in its Arab, and particularly Palestinian, surroundings.

The things Arabs and Turks share are more than enough to make the two nations prominent regional powers.
President Abdullah Gul's latest visit to Syria on May 15^th 2009 expressed the growing awareness of the two countries on the importance of joint cooperation in all political, economic and social fields.
Syria is Turkey's gate to the whole Arab Mashreq and Turkey is the gate of Arab Mashreq to Europe geographically and commercially.

I believe that Arabs as a whole and not just Syrians are genuinely pleased with the pace of progress in the Syrian-Turkish relations, the positive results of which were felt in both countries.
This was particularly evident on public level where the Syrian-Turkish rapprochement is regaining a joint memory where bright spots rise above all past differences.

I return once more to Qayrawan, Capital of Islamic Culture in 2009, and I indulge in its rich history to read papers of thought that are still new despite the passing of time. 

I was intrigued by the extensive media coverage of the issue of Niqab as it became the focus of a heated debate in one of the most watched Arab TV programs.

 Israel and the dead end
It is all but clear that Israel is blundering and the paradox lies in the fact that it reached the peak of its existential crisis the moment it reached the peak of military power.

 With the beginning of 2010, the activities of Al Quds Cultural Calendar of 2009 in the Arab countries were closed and the Cultural Festival moved to Doha. I find it necessary for the Nation to make an evaluation of what has been achieved during Al Quds Festival Year
